Native of Ohio, Had Lived in Madison County Since 1923
Mrs. Nellie B. Bonham of Winterset died Saturday, March 24, at the Peterson Nursing Home in Winterset where she had been a patient since October 1961. Prior to that she was a patient at Madison county Memorial hospital for over three years. She was 79 years of age.
Mrs. Bonham was a native of Chillicothe, O., where she was born Nov. 7, 1882, a daughter of W. C. and Calverna James Williams. She lived in the Earlham community from 1923 to 1948, when she moved to Winterset. She was a member of the Christian church.
She was married in Ohio on Dec. 25, 1901, to Robert A. Bonham, who survives her. She also leaves three children, Aubrey Bonham of Whittier, Calif., Robert Bonham of Los Angeles, California, and Mrs. Vergie Love of Winterset; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a brother, Earl Williams of Dayton, O., and two sisters, Mrs. Sherman Hidy and Mrs. Mac Evans of Washington, C.H., Ohio.
Funeral services were held Monday from the Collins Funeral home, conducted by the Rev. Robert A. Owens, pastor of the First Christian church of Winterset. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
