MRS. EARNEST BONHAM OF MACKSBURG DIES

Mrs. Earnest A. Bonham, long-time resident of Macksburg community, died Nov. 2 at St. Charles, it was reported here this week. She was 82 years of age.

Mrs. Bonham was the former Lyda Ann Compton, daughter of Gaston and Harriet Compton. She was born in Adair county on Oct. 11, 1881.

On Dec. 19, 1901, she was married to Earnest A. Bonham of Macksburg. Her home had been in Madison county since her marriage. She was a member of the Macksburg Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband; and a brother, Alvye Compton of Afton.

Funeral services were held Nov. 4 from the Macksburg Methodist church, in charge of the Rev. Donald Frank. Burial was made in Moon cemetery at Macksburg.
