Eva C. Bond, Peru

Services for Eva C. Bond, 74, Peru, who died Jan. 31 at the Burlington Medical Center in Burlington, Iowa, were held Feb. 3 at the Peru United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ann Louse Weisenfluh officiating. Burial was at the Earlham Cemetery.

Born in Madison County on Oct. 20, 1912, she was the daughter of Gile and Dora Holt Macumber. She was a bookkeeper for 17 years at Sargent Quarries in Madison County, a lifetime resident of Madison County and a member of Eastern Lodge in Winterset.

On Dec. 26, 1930, she married Stephen F. Bond at Adel.

Survivors include daughters, Viola Oglesbee of Mt. Etna, and Beulah Dillinger of Peru; a brother, Ted Macumber of Winterset; sisters, Thelma Keilholtz of Winterset and Dorothy Travis of Joplin, Mo.; six grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, an infant daughter, a brother and a sister.
