Services For Rex Blair

A memorial service for Rex A. Blair will be held at the Blair Chapel Cemetery near St. Charles, Saturday, May 28, at 2 p.m., Rev. Eldon Ringle officiating.

Mr. Blair died Thursday, April 28, 1977, in the Desert Samaritan Hospital near Phoenix, Arizona, after a prolonged illness. A service was held Sunday, May 1, at the Church of the Master United Presbyterian Church in Mesa, Arizona, where Mr. and Mrs. Blair had been living the past two years.

Mr. Blair was born September 2, 1912, near St. Charles, the youngest child of the late George and Hattie Chaffin Blair. He was married to Martha Lippold of Harlan, who survives him. After leaving the farm north of St. Charles, where they lived after their marriage, they moved to Colorado, where Mr. Blair was a highway department engineer until his retirement.

Surviving in addition to his wife are James, a judge in Fairbanks, Alaska, Kenneth, a college instructor in Havren, Montana, one brother, Robert F. of St. Charles, one sister, Georganna Walker, of near Spokane, Washington, and seven grandchildren.
