RHODA BLAIR DIES AT 98 YEARS

Was One of Count's Oldest Residents; Burial Sunday at Blair Chapel

Mrs. Rhoda Blair, one of Madison county's oldest residents, died Friday, SEpt. 1, at a Winterset nursing home. She was 98 years of age.

Mrs. Blair was born in Madison county Oct. 1, 1868, and spent practically all her life as a resident of the county. She was a daughter of Jeremieh and Sarah Wittenmyer Chadd.

She was married to John D. Blair, who preceded her in death. Only near surviving relative is a sister, Mrs. Margaret Fife of Omaha.

She was a member of the United Brethren congregation at Blair Chapel.

Funeral services were held Sunday from the Collins Funeral home in Winterset, conducted by the Rev. Walter A. Samp. Burial was made in Blair Chapel cemetery.
