April 13, 1894 - September 17, 1975Fred Herbert Morford, son of Annetta Dell Allen and John Jasper Morford, was born April 13, 1894 in Dexter, Iowa and passed away the morning of September 17, 1975, at the Dexter Clinic Hospital.
After attending country school and town school in Dexter, Fred served his country during World War I. On January 8, 1919, he was united in marriage to Lillian Esther Wright in Stuart, Iowa and three children were born to this union. Lillian passed away December 26, 1960.
Fred was engaged in farming all of his life and was especially interested in cattle feeding. On June 2, 1962, he was married to Eva Daulton in Dexter, Iowa.
His church membership was at the Penn Center Methodist Church. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a fifty year member of the Mount Tabor Lodge #293 and the Fealty Chapter, OES #395.
Preceding him in death were his parents and three sisters, Lillian Leeper, Nettie Moore and Ora Lenocker.
Surviving are his wife, Eva, one son, Fred, Jr., Dexter, Iowa, two daughters, Mrs. Scott (Florence) Day, Earlham, Iowa, and Mrs. Guy (Lenore) Linville, Indianapolis, Indiana, one brother, Hazen, Earlham, Iowa, three sisters, Mrs. Lena Myers, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Mrs. Blanche Pitman, Rio, Illinois, Mrs. Willard (Ruth) Cummings, Redfield, Iowa, nine grandchildren and one great grandchild, other relatives and friends.
Burial was in the Penn Center cemetery.
