Walter W. Bishop, a well known farmer living near St. Charles, died Saturday, Feb 23, at Springdale, Ark. He was 66 years of age.
Mr. Bishop's death came unexpectedly. He and Mrs. Bishop had been spending several weeks of vacation in Hot Springs, Arkansas, and were enroute home where he was stricken with a heart attack.
Their nephew and niece, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Anderson of St. Charles were with them on the trip.
Mr. Bishop leaves his wife; a brother, B. B. Bishop of Osceola; and three sisters, Mrs. Russell Wolfe of Seattle, Wash., Mrs. A. F. Henrich of Maxwell, and Mrs. Alva Miller of St. Charles.
Funeral services were held Tuesday from the St. Charles Methodist church, with burial in the St. Charles cemetery.

Funeral services were held Feb. 26 from St. Charles Methodist church for Walter W. Bishop of St. Charles, whose death occurred Feb. 22 at Springdale, Ark., while enroute home from a vacation trip. The Rev. Howard Cho, pastor of the St. Charles church conducted the services. Burial was made in the St. Charles cemetery.
Bishop was 66 years of age at his death. He was a life-long resident of the St. Charles community, except for 21 years spent in Seattle, Wash., and Lake Worth, Fla.
He was born at Hanley, Feb. 17, 1897, a son of Austin and Alice Haynes Bishop. He was married April 23, 1924, to Beatrice Neal, who survives him.
His active life was spent in farming, but he had been retired in recent years. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Masonic lodge, and Eastern Star.
