Wednesday, March 12, 1969PAUL BISHOP OF WINTERSET DIES
Paul W. Bishop, a resident of Winterset since 1966, died Saturday, March 8, at his home here. He was 67 years of age.
Mr. Bishop had moved to Winterset when he retired from his work with the Navajo Freight Lines at Pico River, Calif., where he was employed for 10 years. Prior to that he worked for an ice and fuel firm in Des Moines for 32 years.
Mr. Bishop was born at Ford, Iowa on June 15, 1901, a son of Elias J. and May Parmenter Bishop. He was married July 29, 1926 at Avon, Iowa to Esta M. Morris, who survives him.
He was a member of the Reorganized Church of Latter Day Saints, but had attended the First United Methodist church during his residence in Winterset.
In addition to his wife, he leaves three children, Mrs. Betty Lincoln of St. Charles, Mrs. Beverly Tish of Winterset, and Paul W. Bishop of Decatur, Ga.; nine grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Doris Williams of Des Moines; and two brothers, Lester Bishop of Fullerton, Calif., and Leighton Bishop of Norfolk, Va.
Funeral services were held Tuesday from the Collins Funeral home in Winterset, conducted by the Rev. Robert Ballantyne of Lamoni. Burial was made in the Union Chapel cemetery.
