RUAH THOMPSON, West Des Moines

Ruah Blanch Thompson, 89, died March 29, 2006, at Bickford Cottage in West Des Moines.

Funeral services were held Saturday, April 1, at Collins Oak Park Chapel in Winterset with Chaplain Jerry Newswander officiating. Burial was at Winterset Cemetery.

Ruah Thompson was born Oct. 1, 1916, in Winterset to Leland Ellsworth and Gracie May (Johnson) Missildine. On April 9, 1944, she married Glenn H. Thompson in Winterset. A longtime resident of Madison County, Ruah had been a homemaker and farm wife. She attended Worthington United Methodist Church in Madison County.

She was preceded in death by her husband.

She is survived by one son, Dale Glenn Thompson of Winterset; two daughters, Aurelia Klink of Cedar Falls and Marlene Minear of Des Moines; and four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and one stepgreat-grandchild.
