John O. Henkle
August 27, 1905 - June 25, 1979

John O. Henkle, the son of Simeon and Bertha Oldham Henkle, was born in Madison County, Iowa on August 27, 1905. He passed away suddenly at his farm home in Madison County on Monday, June 25, 1979.

John has been a lifetime Madison County resident and farmer. John was married to Delma Neff on March 12, 1932 in Omaha, Nebraska. He is survived by his three sons: Walter and Larry of Earlham, and Wilbur of Hamburg, Iowa. Also surviving are his five grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Mabel Piatt and Mrs. Lois Spencer, both of Dexter; and his brother Harry Henkle of Indianola. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Delma who passed away in 1968.

John was a member of the Earlham Church of Christ, and always enjoyed his many friends and neighbors and being able to maintain his farm until the time of his death.
