Clyde G. Berry, Winterset

Clyde G. Berry, 76, died September 17, 1993 at his home in Winterset. Services were held Tuesday, September 21 at the First Christian Church in Winterset with Rev. Leonard Leslie officiating. Burial was at the Winterset Cemetery.

He was born September 6, 1917 to Joseph Henry and Silvia Dorothy Hink Berry. On August 2, 1990 he was married to Esther M. Rogers in Bentonville, Arkansas. He was a retired farmer and member of the First Christian Church in Winterset. He was also a member of the Veteran's of Foreign Wars, American Legion, and U.S. Submarine Veterans of WW II. Mr. Berry was a past 4-H leader and a past soil Conservation Commissioner. He also served in WW II in the Navy Submarine Service.

Mr. Berry was preceded in death by his first wife, Fern V. Felton Berry and two sisters, Grace Kinnard and Dorothy VanErsvelde.

He is survived by his wife, Esther M. Berry; sons, Lee Berry of Peru, and Lynn Berry of DeSoto; stepsons, Keith Felton of Colfax, Kenneth Felton of Norwalk, Gary Rogers, of Des Moines, and Randy Rogers of Johnston; daughter, Loretta Bordelon of Kalispell, Mon.; brothers, Lyle Berry of Montezuma, Joe Berry of Buchanan Dam, Texas; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa.
