Lela S. Boyle
April 6, 1906 - July 13, 1983

Lela S. Boyle, daughter of Bert and Nancy Willison, was born April 6, 1906 in Cass County, Iowa. She passed away Wednesday morning, July 13, 1983 at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines.

Lela grew up in Cass County and graduated from Anita Normal School. She taught school prior to her marriage.

On April 6, 1929 she was united in marriage to J. Morris Boyle in Des Moines. This was also the birthday of both Lela and Morris. Two sons and two daughters blessed this union.

Lela was a member of the Penn Center United Methodist Church, Dexter Eva Ann Rebekah Lodge and Earlham Order of Eastern Star. She was a proud and loving mother devoted to her husband and family.

Survivors include two sons, Robert and Jerald, both of Dexter; two daughters, Nancy Malmquist of Boxholm, Iowa and Coleen Hayes of Des Moines; 13 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two sisters, Arlene Thrailkill of Dexter, Iowa and Dorothy Fines of Clearwater, Florida; two brothers, Lee Willison of Norwalk, Iowa and Max Willison of Pleasantville, Iowa and a host of relatives.

Lela was preceded in death by her husband, Morris, her parents and one sister, Anita.

Burial was in Penn Center cemetery.
