Word has been received here of the death of a former resident, Mrs. Merle Anderson. Services for Mrs. Anderson were held in Jackson, Tenn. Sunday, November 5th, with burial in Highland Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Anderson, wife of Tom Anderson, died Friday at National Health Enterprises nursing home after a long illness.
She was born in Peru, the daughter of Anthony and Rhoda Schoenenberger and had lived in Jackson the last 23 years. She formerly was a home economics teacher at Winterset High School in Winterset. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Besides her husband, she leaves a daughter, Mrs. Arla Jean Lawson of Monroeville, Pa.; a son, Donald Anderson of Athens; a brother, Frank Schoenenberger of Des Moines and five grandchildren.
