Funeral services were held Friday, Oct. 30, from the Richards Funeral home in Winterset for Mrs. Minnie Burkheimer, whose death had occurred Oct. 28 at a hospital in Creston. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
Mrs. Burkheimer was 84 years of age. She was a life long resident of Madison, Warren and Union counties, and had lived in Winterset in recent years.
Survivors include two children, Raymond and Kathryn of California; three grandchildren, Francis White of Winterset, Doris Eyerly of Denver, Colo., and Donald Mitchell of Winterset; and six great grandchildren.

Page 6WINTERSET WOMAN DIES AT CRESTON
Mrs. Minnie Burkheimer of Winterset died this Tuesday, Oct. 27, at Greater Community hospital in Creston. She was 84 years of age.
Mrs. Burkheimer was born in Madison county, and spent her life here and in Warren and Union counties. In recent years her home had been in Winterset.
She was the former Minnie Norris, daughter of Alfred and Mary Jane Rush Norris. She was born here Sept. 13, 1875. She was married to William F. Gentry on Dec. 25, 1902. He preceded her in death. She later married James Burkheimer, who preceded her in death also.
Her surviving relatives include a son, Raymond Gentry, and a daughter, Mrs. Catherine Janes, both of California.
Funeral services will be held this Friday at 2 p. m. from the Richards Funeral home.
