Margareth Berg, St. Charles

Margareth Luella Berg, 75, of St. Charles, died of an aneurysm Feb. 16, 1997 at the Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset. The body was cremated.

She was born in Iowa City on Oct. 21, 1921 to Samuel Walter and Ann Katherine (Boyce) Rowe. She married George Rollo Berg on Sept. 23, 1944 at Key West, Fla. She was a homemaker and had been a resident of St. Charles for the past 26 years. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Surviving relatives include her mother of Des Moines; her husband of St. Charles; one daughter, Barbara Peterson of Madrid; one brother, Robert Rowe of Calif.; two sisters, Maryanna Thompson of Des Moines and Kathy Madonia of Winterset; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
