Harry C. Algreen
November 6, 1893 - October 30, 1978

Harry Algreen, son of Pete and Lillie B. Moyer Algreen, was born November 6, 1893 in Adair County, Iowa near Fontanelle. He passed away October 30, 1978 at Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset.

Harry served his country in the Armed Forces during World War I. Following his service commitment he started his career of farming which he continued until his retirement in 1960.

On March 27, 1920 in Winterset, Iowa he was united in marriage to Nina McFarlin Algreen. Their married life together was spent in the Dexter and Earlham area.

Harry was a long-time member of the Dexter American Legion.

Survivors include his daughter, Beverly Howell of Dexter; six grandchildren; one great grandchild; four brothers: Vern and Bruce of Dexter, Keith of Winterset and Pete of Earlham; also many nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his wife and infant son, his parents, one sister and one brother.

Burial in Dexter Cemetery.
