Irene Bentley, rural Winterset

Irene Marie Bentley, 43, of rural Winterset, died Tuesday morning, June 10, of respiratory failure at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines. The body was cremated and Memorial services will be held this Friday, June 13, at 11:00 a.m. from Hamilton's Funeral Home, 605 Lyon, in Des Moines.

Mrs. Bentley was born in Marshalltown, and lived most of her life in Des Moines. She moved to the Winterset area seven years ago.

Surviving are her husband, John L. Bentley of Winterset; seven sons, Lyle and Danny Bishop of Winterset, Jerry and Joe Bishop of Des Moines, Gary Bishop of Madrid and Rick and Kirk Bentley of Des Moines; four sisters, Birdie Ingledue of Des Moines, Jennie Cake of Des Moines, Connie Ingledue of Chatsman Boro, Tenn., and Shirley Rice of Ft. Polk, La.; and nine grandchildren.

Officiating at the Memorial service this Friday will be the Rev. Dennis Nicholson.
