James Benson, Guthrie Center

James "Jack" Benson, 86, died of a heart disease December 1, 1992, at New Homestead Care Center. Memorial services were held Friday, December 4 at Beidelman Funeral Home, with burial of the cremains to be at a later date.

Mr. Benson was born in Macksburg and lived in Guthrie Center 20 years. He formerly farmed in Madison County and had been a member of the Masonic Lodge.

Surviving are his wife, Muzette; a son, Victor Benson of Winterset; a stepson, C. W. Thomas of Guthrie Center; a brother, Denman Benson of Lorimor; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
