MRS. JACK BENSON DIES AT 54 YEARS

Winterset Resident Died on Monday at Hospital in Rochester

Mrs. Jack Benson of Winterset died this Monday, Sept. 13, at Rochester, Minn., where she had gone for treatment of a heart condition. She was 54 years of age.

Mrs. Benson was a resident of Madison county most of her life. She was the former Frances Leona Hiskey, daughter of Elmer and Carrie Palmer Hiskey, and was born Nov. 23, 1910, in this county. She was married Dec. 10, 1928, to Jack Benson.

She was a member of the Methodist church.

Mrs. Benson is survived by her husband; a son, Victor Benson of Winterset; her mother, Mrs. Carrie Hiskey of Winterset; two brothers, Clifford Hiskey of St. Charles and Maynard Hiskey of West Des Moines; and four sisters, Mrs. Lula Johnson of Murray, Mrs. Mildred Rakes of Camdenton, Mo., Mrs. Leota Huston of Peru, and Mrs. Lena Peterson of Winterset.

Funeral services were to be held this Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Wilson Funeral home in Winterset, in charge of the Rev. Everett K. Burham, pastor of the First Methodist church here. Burial is to be made in the Winterset cemetery.
