Beth Ellen Morris Belcher, Earlham

Beth Ellen Morris Belcher, 54, of Earlham died of cancer April 19, 1998.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday) April 22, at the Urban Heights Evangelical Covenant Church in Urbandale with the Rev. Kent McDougal officiating. Interment will be in Earlham Cemetery.

Beth Belcher was born Aug. 3, 1943 in Des Moines to Lewis and Rosalie Morris. She grew up near Earlham, graduating from DeSoto High School. She married Larry Belcher on Feb. 17, 1967, in Colorado Springs, Colo., where they lived until moving to rural Earlham in 1976. Beth was a homemaker and a member of the Bible Study Fellowship and Des Moines Quilters Guild.

She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Michelle Guldenpfennig of Overland Park, Kan., and Lana Belcher of Kansas City, Mo.; her father, Lewis Morris of Earlham; two sisters, Helen Summy of Kansas City, Mo. and Martha Morris of Earlham; and two brothers, Dave Morris of Burbank, Calif, and Brian Morris of Adel.

Arrangements were handled by Kuhn Funeral Homes of Earlham.
