Phillip Beener, St. Charles

Phillip Beener of St. Charles, died of a heart attack Saturday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines. Services were held Tuesday at St. Ambrose Cathedral in Des Moines. Burial was in Glendale Cemetery there.

Mr. Beener was born in Des Moines, where he lived for 55 years before moving to St. Charles 17 years ago. He had been a machinist for the Marquette Cement Co. and was a member of St. Ambrose Cathedral.

Surviving are his wife, Rosella; three daughters, Margaret Beener and Patricia Green, both of Des Moines, and Rose Marie Parker of St. Charles; three sons, Jim of Arvada, Colo., and Michael and Jerry both of Des Moines; a sister, Mary Herron of Des Moines; a brother, Louis of Indianola, 14 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
