Frank M. Beasley, 75, of Earlham, Iowa, formerly of Dubuque, died Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2002, at Hospice Kavanaugh House, Des Moines.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today at the Earlham Cemetery, where military rites will be accorded by the Earlham American Legion Post 158. The Kuhn Funeral Home, Earlham, is in charge of arrangements.

He was born on Oct. 12, 1926, in Geneva, Iowa, son of Fred and Emma (Weiner) Beasley.

He married Rachael A. Hackbarth on Feb. 4, 1946, at Morgan Methodist Church, Dows, Iowa.

Mr. Beasley worked for Northwestern Bell Telephone Co. for 38 years, retiring in 1985, as a supervisor. Frank also farmed during most of his lifetime, in which he enjoyed raising cattle.

On Sept. 27, 1980, he married Rebecca Clemens, in Geneva.

He lived in Earlham since 1980. He served with the Navy for two years and was honorably discharged in August 1946.

Surviving are his wife, Becky Beasley; two sons, Fred (Linda), of Norfolk, Neb., and Loren Beasley, of Dubuque; a daughter, Sarah Jo (Bruce) Redding, of Dubuque; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and his former wife, Rachael Beasley, of Dubuque.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a daughter, Marjorie, in 1982.

Memorials may be given to Hospice Kavanaugh House, 900 56th St., Des Moines, Iowa 50312.

Frank Beasley, Earlham

Frank Melvin Beasley, 75, of Earlham died Sept. 3, 2002, of renal failure at Hospice Kavanagh House in Des Moines.

Graveside services were held Thursday, Sept. 5, at Earlham Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Ray Martin officiating. Military rites were performed by Earlham American Legion Post 158, Masonic services were held Wednesday, Sept. 4, by Madison Lodge 568 AF & AM with Frank Coulter officiating.

Frank Beasley was born Oct. 12, 1926, to Frederick and Emma (Weiner) Beasley of Geneva. He was educated in the Geneva Sschool system, graduating from Geneva High School in 1946. Prior to his high school graduation, he had served a tour of duty in the United States Navy during World War II. On Feb. 4, 1946, he married Rachael Hackbarth at the Morgan Methodist Church near Dows. Frank worked for Northwestern Bell in Iowa Falls, Cedar Falls, Waterloo, Dubuque and Earlham, retiring after 38 years as a supervisor. He also farmed during most of his lifetime. On Sept. 27, 1980, he married Rebecca Clemens in Geneva. He was a member of the Madison Masonic Lodge in Earlham, serving as treasurer and secretary. He also had been active in the Boy Scouts when his sons were young, serving as a leader.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter.
