Addie May Beard, former Madison County resident, died Wednesday, October 16th at the Princeton, Minnesota hospital at the age of 80.
She was born February 25, 1888 in Baldwin township, Minnesota, the daughter of Michael and Addie Galbraith Looney.
She was united in marriage to John Beard of Winterset on December 4, 1912. Most of her life was spent on their farm and moved to Zimmerman, Minnesota in 1961 and in September 1965 she entered the Elim Home in Princeton, Minnesota.
She was a member of the Congregational Church in Princeton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, John and Teddy Looney and three sister, Maggie McKim, Fannie Koehler and Agnes Swanson.
Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Adelia Beard of Winterset and Mrs. Stella Benson of Princeton, Minnesota and one brother, Alfred Looney of Anoka, Minnesota and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held Saturday, October 19th at the Princeton Congregational Church with burial in Oak Knoll Cemetery in Princeton.

ZIMMERMAN, Minn. – Mrs. Addie May Beard, 80, died Wednesday in the Princeton Community Hospital. She was born Feb. 25, 1888 in Baldwin Township.
Mrs. Beard is a member of First Congregational Church.
She is survived by a brother Alfred Lowney, Anoka and two sisters, Mrs. Adelia Beard, Winterset, Iowa, and Mrs. Russell (Stella) Benson, Princeton.
Mrs. Beard was preceded in death by her parents and husband, John, Dec. 14, 1961.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday from the First Congregational Church, Princeton. Rev. Clarion Olsen will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Knoll Cemetery, Princeton.
Family services will be held at the Hanson Funeral Home, Princeton, today.
Pallbearers will be: Marvin McKim, Kenneth McKim, Kenneth Burke, Paul Westman, DeLyle Swanson and Norman Looney.
