MARVEL BEAN - Urbandale

Marvel S. Bean, 87, of USA Health-care Center in Urbandale died of a heart ailment there Saturday.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Laurel Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Bean was born in St. Charles and had lived in Des Moines since 1957. He was a retired employee with Westinghouse and had worked as a crane operator.

Survivors include two daughters, Mary Lou Foote and Bonnie Dewey, both of Des Moines; a sister, Gretta Gates of Winterset; and three grandchildren.

Friends may call from 1 to 8 p.m. Monday at Hamilton's Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Luther Park Apartments Activity Fund.
