FERN VIOLA YOUNKER, Davenport

Fern Viola Younker, 82, of Davenport, died January 2, 1994 at her home. Graveside services were held January 5, 1994 at the Winterset Cemetery with the Rev. John Shaull officiating.

She was born September 12, 1911 to Oliver and Jessie (Halstead) Clifford in Council Bluffs. She married Harold Younker and was a homemaker and lived in Winterset from 1932 until 1972.

She was preceded in death by her husband; two brothers; and one sister.

Surviving relatives include three sons, Lesley Younker of Waukee, Duane Younker of Edmond, Okla., Melvin Younker of Knoxville; three daughters, Viola Martin of Davenport, Alice Eaton of Des Moines, and Ruby Grinstead of Chicago, Ill.; one brother, Lewis Halstead of Oregon; 21 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.
