Leonard G. Beaman, Indianola

Services for Leonard G. Beaman, 79, Indianola, who died June 20, at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines, were held Sat. June 23, at the St. Charles Parish Methodist and Disciples Church. Burial was at the St. Charles Cemetery.

Mr. Beaman, a former St. Charles resident, was born in Adair County. He was a 1929 graduate of Winterset High School and had lived in Indianola since 1973.

He had worked at Delavan Manufacturing Co. in West Des Moines in the personnel office and had previously owned and operated a locker plant in St. Charles for 20 years. He retired in 1975.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Indianola. He was married to the former Lura Fife on September 12, 1930 at Guthrie Center.

Survivors include his wife; daughters, Barbara Beaman of Indianola and Dolores Sinn and husbvand Merlyn of Martensdale; a son, Dale and wife Kathy of Atlanta, Ga., six grandchildren and six great-grandsons.
