Services for Harold Ivan Beaman, 78, Winterset, who died Feb. 28 at the Madison County Memorial Hospital were held Monday, March 3, at the Worthington United Methodist Church with the Rev. Helen Farr officiating. Burial was at the Winterset Cemetery.

Born in Adair County on May 11, 1907, he was the son of Earnest and Ethel Howard Beaman. A retired farmer, he lived most of his life in Madison County and was a member of the Worthington church.

On July 29, 1929, he married Gladys Lucile Olson in Greenwood Park in Des Moines.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Russell of DeSoto; a daughter, Joan Brown of Winterset; a brother, Leonard of Indianola; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
