Barbara Beaman, Indianola

Barbara L. Beaman of Indianola, died Feb. 5, 2005 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

Funeral services were held Tuesday Feb. 8, at the St. Charles Parish Church. Burial was at St. Charles Cemetery.

Barbara Beaman was born in Madison County to Leonard and Lura Beaman. She had attended Winifred Law Opportunity Center and also was a member of the Indianola First United Methodist Church. Barbara had resided in Indianola for the past 32 years. She had previously lived in St. Charles for 27 years. At the time of her death, she was a resident of Shirlee's Retirement Home in Indianola.

She was preceded in death by her mother.

She is survived by her mother, Lura, of Indianola; a sister, Dolores V. Sinn of Martensdale; and a brother, Dale E. Beaman of St. Charles.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Indianola Public Library or the Friends of the Library at St. Charles.

Funeral arrangements were handled by Overton Funeral Home in Indianola.
