NESTER L. YATES Of Winterset Dies

Nester L. Yates, a life-time resident of Madison county, died Thursday, Aug. 19, 1965, at his home in Winterset. He was 71 years of age.

Mr. Yates was born in this county Feb. 13, 1894, a son of Henry and Lillian Bard Yates. His life was spent in farming, and as a day laborer.

Surviving are his wife, Geraldine; and nine children, Deliah, Irwin, Burton, Gerald, Delores, Shirley Ann, Melvin, Phyllis and Doris.

Funeral services were held Monday from the Collins Funeral home conducted by the Rev. H. E. Borum, pastor of the First Baptist church of Winterset. Burial was made in the Winterset Cemetery.
