Dorothy Leveke Bass, 86, of New Brighton, Minn., died June 11, 1995, of complications of Alzheimer's Disease at the New Brighton Care Center in New Brighton. Services are at 10:30 a.m. today (June 14) at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Winterset with Father Frank Palmer officiating. Burial was at the Winterset Cemetery.
She was born Sept. 20, 1908, in Madison County to Henry and Ava (Shaw) Leveke. She married Charles Allgeyer Bass Dec. 29, 1928 in Winterset. She was a retired cosmetologist. She had lived in Madison County until 1976, and was former operator of the Winterset Dairy. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary; a Gold Star Mother; and a member of the St. John Catholic Church in New Brighton, Minn.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and one son.
Surviving relatives include a daughter, Jan Buscher and husband Charles of New Brighton, Minn; a daughter-in-law, Evelyn Bass of Clarksville, Tenn.; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
