GERALDINE YATES, Winterset

A graveside service was held Tuesday, June 22, at Winterset Cemetery for Geraldine Doris Yates of Winterset, who died June 20, 1982, at Winterset Care Center North. She was 68 years old.

Born in Breakenridge, Minn. on November 16, 1913, she was the daughter of Ralph and Rhoda Bitner Kramer. On April 7, 1936 she married Nestor Yates in Des Moines. Mr. Yates died in 1965.

Mrs. Yates was a housewife, living most of her life in Madison county.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two children; two brothers and a sister.

Survivors include a son, Melvin Yates of Carrier Mills, Ill.; a daughter, Phyllis Land of Omaha; and a brother, Paul Kramer of Waterloo.

Kenneth Helmer officiated at the funeral service.
