Final Rites Held For RALPH C. YOUNG

Funeral services for Ralph C. Young, a retired Rock Island railroad engineer, were held this Wednesday afternoon from the Hamilton Funeral home in Des Moines. Burial was in Laurel cemetery there. He was 71 years of age.

Mr. Young was a son of William and Nancy Davis Young, long time Madison County residents.

He is survived by his wife, Goldie, of Des Moines; three daughters, Mrs. Phyllis Hinshaw of Winterset, Mrs. Pat Curtis of Carlisle, and Mrs. Peg McDowell of Cedar Rapids; two sons, Roger Young of Denver, Colo., and Robert of Des Moines.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, one brother and two sons, Victor and Mack.
