Robert Dean Young, 68, of Winterset, died Oct. 21, 1995 at the Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset. Memorial services were held Oct. 23 at Collins Funeral Home in Winterset. The Rev. John Shaull officiated the services and the cremains will be buried later by the family.
He was born in Creston on Sept. 9, 1927 to Harold and Vera (Davis) Young. He married Janice Young in Creston on Sept. 11, 1954. He had been an auto mechanic, employed by Meyer Auto Repair in Winterset. He had served in the Army during WW II.
Surviving relatives include his wife, two sons, Michael Young of Peru and Greg Young of Winterset; one daughter, Michele Sneed of Lee Summitt, Mo.; one sister, Nancy Fry of Creston; and four grandchildren.
