George Banks, Prole

George J. Banks, 80, Prole, a retired farmer, died of head injuries suffered in a fall at his brother's home June 5, at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines. Services were held Monday at Overton Funeral Home in Indainola. Burial was at Linn Grove Cemetery near Martensdale.

Mr. Banks was born in Warren County. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Martensdale.

Survivors include his wife, Irene; a stepson, Wallace Dick of Des Moines; two stepdaughters, Marjorie Paullin of Winterset and Patricia Harsh of Adel; two brothers, Theodore of Indianola and Roy of Prole; three sisters, Cecile McClintic of Indianola, Marie Voss of Prole and Lucile Tipton of Ridgecrest, Calif.; eight step-grandchildren; and 14 step-great-grandchildren.
