Services for Mary B. Young, 93, were held Sun., Aug. 11 at St. Charles Parish Church with the Rev. Tom Webster officiating. She died August 8, 1991, at Mercy Medical Center, Des Moines.
A St. Charles resident most of her life, she was born in Garden Grove December 10, 1897 to Horace and Addie (Fitzhugh) Bond. She attended school in Iowa and Minnesota. On October 30, 1918 she married William Roy Young in St. Charles. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Charles Parish Church and its Women's Society.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband in 1962, three brothers and two sisters.
Surviving are three sons, Milton and wife, Helen, and Horace, all of St. Charles and James of Ames, eight grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.
Burial was in St. Charles Cemetery.
