MRS. LIDIA A. YOUNG

Mrs. Lidia A. Young, a former resident of the Winterset community, died Wednesday, Aug. 3, 1990, at Clarinda. She was 82 years of age.

Mrs. Young was a native of McLean county, Illinois, where she was born March 17, 1878, a daughter of John and Madora Deal. As a small child she moved with her parents to Minnesota, and when she was 13 years of age they came to Madison County.

She was married to Samuel Young of near Winterset on Dec. 25, 1900. He preceded her in death. She lived in the Winterset community until 15 years ago, when she moved to Jefferson.

She is survived by a brother, Frank Deal of Jefferson, and a sister, Mrs. May McNeal of Des Moines.

Funeral services were held Friday from the Slininger chapel in Jefferson. Burial was made in the Jefferson cemetery.
