MRS. ELMER YOUNG Dies at Creston

Mrs. Laura E. Young, a former resident of Winterset, died Saturday, Sept. 23, 1972, at Creston Manor in Creston. She was 82 years of age.

Mrs. Young was born in Madison county on April 27, 1890, living in Winterset until 1942. She moved to Bellvue, Nebr., where she lived until 1968, when she moved to Creston.

She was married in Des Moines Jan. 14, 1913, to Elmer W. Young of Wintersest. His death occurred in 1961. She was a member of the Methodist church.

She leaves a son, Bert Young of Creston; three grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held here Monday from the Collins Funeral home, in charge of the Rev. Newton Coughenour, pastor of the First United Methodist Church here. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
