Services for Lafayette (Lafe) Ballard, 70, Des Moines, and formerly of Lorimor who died Monday, Oct. 11, at Des Moines General Hospital were held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Calvary Assembly of God Church in Des Moines. Burial was in Highland Memory Gardens.
Mr. Ballard was born and reared in Lorimor, the son of Len and Mae Luddington Ballard and was married to Edith Akins.
Surviving are his wife, Edith; a son, a brother, a sister, Mildred Benedict of Winterset, and a grandchild.
His parents, twin brother and a son preceded him in death.
