ELMER YOUNG Rites Held Here

Elmer W. Young formerly of Winterset, died July 25, 1961 at a hospital in Omaha, Nebr. The body was brought to Winterset for funeral services and burial.

Mr. Young was born at Miller, S. Dak., on March 16, 1889, and was 72 years of age at his death. He was a son of Fremont and Mary E. Stauffer Young. Most of his life was spent in the Winterset community, where he worked as an automobile mechanic for many years. Nineteen years ago he moved to Nebraska, and had been making his home in Bellvue.

He was married in Des Moines on Jan. 14, 1914, to Edith Schutt, who survived him. He also leaves a son, Bert Young, of Bellvue and a foster son, R. O. Schutt of York,Pa., in addition to three grandchildren, three foster grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Minnie Roy of St. John, N. Dak., and two brothers, Ernest Young of Camden, Point, Mo., and John C. Young of Omaha.

Funeral services were held Saturday from the Collins Funeral home, in charge of the Rev. John C. Porath, pastor of the Winterset Methodist church. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
