Robert M. Baker, Redfield

Robert Morgan Baker, 75, of Redfield died March 6, 2000, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 10, at Kuhn Funeral Home in Dexter with the Rev. Robert Molsberry officiating. Private interment will take place at Wiscotta Cemetery, Redfield.

Bob Baker was born Dec. 15, 1924, to Thomas Warren and Louie (Morgan) Baker of Redfield. A U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, he married Wilma Sneathen on June 29, 1947. He resided in Redfield until 1973 and then moved to Des Moines. He retired to the Rio Grande Valley in Texas in 1988, moving back to Redfield two years ago. Bob worked for the Redfield Review, Dallas County News and the Des Moines Register as a printer. He was a member of the Redfield American Legion Post 261 for over 50 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, seven brothers and three sisters.

He is survived by his wife; three daughters, Terese Grant (husband Warren) of Grinnell, Pam Danielson (husband Terry) of Redfield and Sandy BAker of Liberal, Kan.; a brother Mike Baker of Dallas Center; a sister, Bertha Park of Adel; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
