Marjorie Baker, Winterset

Marjorie Jean Baker, 54, of Winterset, died of cancer March 4, 1995 at the Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset. Funeral services were March 7 at Collins Funeral Home in Winterset. The Rev. Bill Branson officiated the ceremony with burial at the Winterset Cemetery.

She was born in Winterset on March 2, 1941 to Wilmer R. and Irene (Hooper) Henson. She married Albert Dean Baker on May 23, 1959 in St. Charles. She was a lifetime resident of Madison County. She was a health care worker and had worked for Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Surviving relatives include her husband; five sons, Tom Baker and wife Nancy of Pleasantville, John Baker and wife Bea of Des Moines, Mike Baker and wife Sheri of Adel, Richard Baker of Winterset and Pat Baker and Renee Parkins of Winterset; one daughter, Elizabeth Baker of Winterset; two brothers, Robert Henson of Winterset and Don Henson of Waukee; three sister, Mary Fern Nuzum of Winterset, Rose Taylor of Urbandale, and Elizabeth McCullough of Winterset; and five grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
