Donald Baker, 71, of Branson, Mo., died June 17, 2005.

Memorial services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, June 23, at the Macksburg United Methodist Church. Burial of the cremains will be at Moon Cemetery in rural Macksburg. Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 21 at Greenlawn Funeral Home in Branson with the Rev. Dan Edwards officiating.

Donald Baker was born June 14, 1934, in Winterset to Clarence and Myrtilla (Witt) Baker. A 1952 graduate of Macksburg High School, Donald worked for Northwestern Bell Telephone Company for 30 years, retiring as a district manager. In 1953, he married Lilah Waltz. Three daughters were born to this union-Cynthia, Diane and Sheryl. He later married Joyce Gallivan in 1973. he was a member of the Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge, and Sons of the American Revolution. He also was a certified Internal auditor, chapter president and regional vice president of the Institute of Internal Auditors-International.

He was preceded in death by a grandson.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce of Branson, Mo.; four daughters, Cynthia Baker and Sheryl Granke, both of Des Moines, Diane Yates of Tualatin, Ore., and Shannon (Gallivan) Lamberton of Minnesota; and three granddaughters and five great-granddaughters.
