Eloise Rose Avitt, 74, died of a heart ailment Jan. 17, 2000 at Winterset Care Center South.
A memorial service was held Saturday, Jan. 29, at Collins Funeral Home in Winterset with the Rev. Bill Branson officiating. Burial was at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Des Moines.
Eloise Avitt was born July 20, 1925, to Leslie L. and Ellen G. (Anderson) Avitt of Des Moines. She was a resident of Winterset since 1967, having previously resided in Des Moines.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.
She is survived by a brother Frank L. Avitt of Des Moines; and two sisters, Irene Garlock of Tyler, Texas, and Mae Hulbert of St. Charles.
