Alma Ayers, Winterset

Alma L. Ayers, 63, of Winterset, died Jan. 3, 1995 at the Kavanaugh House in Des Moines. Memorial graveside services were held Jan. 6 at the Winterset Cemetery.

She was born on Sept. 13, 1931 in Jacksonville, Fla., to W. Henry and Marrole Louise (Thompson) McDonald. She was a homemaker and a resident of Madison County for the past 12 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother.

Surviving relatives include two sons, James C. Dutton of Mitchellville, and Paul E. Ayers, Jr. of Celina, Ohio; two daughters, Cynthia Cox of Jacksonville, Fla., and Patty Olson of Winterset; two sisters, Carolyn Johnson of Jacksonville, Fla. and Dorothy Palmer of Seattle, Wash.; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
