Leonard J. Austin of DeSoto, formerly of the Winterset community died Saturday, April 8, at Veterans Hospital in Des Moines. He was 59 years of age.
He is survived by his wife, Amalia; a daughter Mrs. Eva Belew of Adel; three brothers, Forrest Austin of Afton, Ivan Austin of Peru and Jerry Austin of St. Charles; two sisters Mrs. Frieda Dodd of Omaha and Mrs. Eunice Harper of Lorimor; and three granddaughters.
Funeral services were held Tuesday from the DeSoto United Methodist church with burial in Oakland cemetery there.
