MRS. LOIS AUGUSTINE SERVICES TUESDAY

Mrs. Lois Augustine, member of a pioneer Madison county family died last Friday, Feb. 20, at the Shoemaker Nursing home in Winterset. She was 81 years of age.

Mrs. Augustine was born in Madison county, Oct. 14, 1871, but spent most of her life in Carroll county. She was a daughter of Milton and Sarah Ann Knox, her grandfather being a pioneer settler here.

She was married March 21, 1901 to Fred Augustine, who preceded her in death in 1948. Her nearest surviving relatives are a stepson, Donald Augustine of Afton; and a stepdaughter, Pluma Olson of Oakland, Calif.

Funeral services were held her Tuesday from the Richards Funeral home, conducted by the Rev. H. D. Rosenberger, pastor of the Winterset Foursquare church. Burial was made at Glidden, Iowa.
