Death of Mrs. William Graspy

Years of ill health ended with the death of Mrs. William Graspy at her home in Winterset on October 12. She was 65 years of age.

Mrs. Graspy was born Judy Elizabeth Hammer, on August 29, 1869. She was married April 2, 1893, to William Graspy, and they were the parents of eight children. One son, Lee, preceded his mother in death, but seven of the children survive. They are Mrs. Vera John, and Onie, Wallace, Everett, Amos, and Ivan Graspy, all of Winterset, and Forest Graspy of St. Charles. She is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Joe Young of Winterset, and eight grandchildren.

The funeral rites were held from the Tidrick Funeral home on Sunday at 2 p.m. Burial was made in Union Chapel cemetery. The services were in charge of the Rev. Fred W. Madson, of the Baptist church.
