Delores (Dee) Augustin, Ankeny

A funeral mass for Delores (Dee) Augustin, 71, was held Tues., June 23, 1992 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Frank Palmer officiating. Mrs. Augustin died June 19 at her home of injuries received in a truck-pedestrian accident there.

A former Winterset resident, she was born November 6, 1920 at Ft. Dodge to Joseph and Izola (Cotant) Ormand and married George Augustin June 25, 1969 in Des Moines. She was a retired collection manager for Norwest Financial. She spent the last two years in Ankeny, having lived in Des Moines prior to that.

She was preceded in death by an infant son.

Surviving are her husband; two daughters, Jackie Maggio of Broaddux, Texas and Prudence Zanutto of Brookfield, Ill.; a step-daughter, Elaine Castelline of Charleston, S.C.; three step-sons, Randall Augustin of Altoona, Daniel Augustin of Niceville, Fla., and Thomas Augustin of Citrus Heights, Calif.; a sister, Patricia Thielen of Spokane, Wash.; and six grandchildren.

Collins Funeral Home handled arrangements and burial was at Winterset Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
