Mrs. Elizabeth Atcheson

After a long and painful illness from dropsy, Mrs. Elizabeth Atcheson died on Friday, Oct. 8 at Winterset. Mrs. Atcheson, who was 80 years of age, came to the county from Guernsey county, Ohio in 1858. She united with the United Presbyterian church of Winterset soon after her arrival, thus being for sixty-two years a continuous member of that church, a record held by no one else today. Mrs. Atcheson was the widow of Samuel Atcheson and is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Etta Peacock of Winterset and two sons, Frank and Lee of Des Moines.

Rev. W. J. Stewart conducted funeral services on Saturday at 2 o'clock in the United Presbyterian church.
