Orin Arnold of 214 West Filmore St. in Winterset, died Monday, July 14, at Iowa Lutheran hospital in Des Moines. He was 90 years of age.
Mr. Arnold formerly operated a grocery store from his residence here.
A son of John T. and Elizabeth Jane Cree Arnold, he was born Oct. 4, 1889 at Ellston, Iowa. He was married to Carrie Edna Randolph on January 21, 1920, at Creston, Iowa.
Mr. Arnold moved to Winterset 31 years ago, coming here from Tingley, Iowa. He was a member of the Methodist, American Legion and V.F.W.
Surviving are two sons, Sterling M. Tucker of Indianapolis, Ind., and Bernard Leon Tucker of Corwith, Iowa; one brother, Earl Arnold of Anaheim, Calif.; one grandchild and two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife on April 1, 1969; and by five brothers and five sisters.
Funeral services for Mr. Arnold will be held at 10 a.m. this Thursday, July 17, from Collins Funeral home in Winterset. Pastor Ray M. Richardson will officiate.
Burial, with military graveside rites, will be at Graceland cemetery, Creston.
